Bloodborne pathogens pose risks to more than just healthcare workers. People in many walks of life can face the risks presented by pathogens such as HIV and hepatitis.
This supplemental course is designed specifically for employees who face a significant health risk of exposure to blood or other potentially infectious bodily fluids and materials. The training will help students meet OSHA requirements.
The course explains how bloodborne diseases are transmitted and procedures students can put in place to reduce the risk of exposure. It also teaches students what to do if they suspect they have been exposed to bloodborne pathogens.
Like all Self Services first aid courses, this supplement is taught in a low-stress, easy-learning environment. Outstanding video presentations are complemented by high-quality printed materials.
*Must be taken with Basic CPR & First Aid course.
